Gilchrist Orchard is a Minnesota family-run orchard that focuses on growing top varieties of Minnesota-bred apples, as well as other classics, and heirloom varieties. Especially ones that make phenomenal cider!

Our passion for great cider inspired us to be able to share the appreciation and artistic form of creating good cider with others. This is where our hard cider kit comes in. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Our kit comes with everything you need to get started on your cider-making journey. The kit includes a 2-gallon fermentation kit and detailed instructions on how to transform juice into hard cider. You'll end up with a traditional dry cider that is preferred over many sweet mass-produced options available today. If you prefer your cider sweetened and carbonated, we've included some references with information on how to do so, including back sweetening and bottle conditioning.

• These are great gifts for homebrewers or DIY'ers.
• Apple juice sold separately and can be purchased as an add-on if you are able to pick it up locally in the Minneapolis area, available in season while supply lasts.
• If buying juice somewhere else, try to get it as fresh as possible, make sure no chemical preservatives have been added.
• Pasteurized juice can be okay, but depending on the method used it can affect the flavor and you will need to add in your own yeast.
